In August 2010, THE MOONBAND's debut album OPEN SPACE was released. In UK, e.g. americana.co.uk ("an interesting and engaging debut that deserves notice“), leicasterbangs.co.uk ("their songs reflect the kind of universal truths and trepidations that concern all of us“) or allgigs.co.uk ("very beautiful record“) commended OPEN SPACE. SZ (one of the biggest German newspapers) labeled THE MOONBAND "extraordinary smart Country & Folk“, with an "enormous catchy, variable, and steady growing spectrum“. The initial insider tip became an unexpected success. Only 1 year later THE MOONBAND present their second album. In months of precision work, DENAVIGATION was mostly recorded live, and catches THE MOONBAND genuinely , just like being in the same room with the band. DENAVIGATION is about life's turning points, about the bravery to follow new paths. The band experiments with new instruments and sounds, but the proven trademarks remain unchanged: Vocal harmonies, affectionate arrangements, beautiful melodies.
